Well academically, Adelaide is much like Leeds, though they're a lot more lenient about particular things. For example, if you want to get an extension for an essay, all you have to do is email your tutor and give some random excuse, and they'll give you one. My German friend Adrian had an essay in which he hadn't started early enough, so he emailed his tutor and said "because English isn't my native language, I need more time", and he gave him an extension, even though he has no problems writing in English! In Leeds, if you need an extension you have to give a doctor's medical certificate or something, and wait for an approval from the head of department!
Another thing, with handing in books late to the library. At Leeds they charge you a fine from the second you're late. But here in Adelaide you earn demerit points, and only once you've earned a considerable number do they take action!
My two modules have been interesting, and boring as hell. My module on Genocide, though sometimes ridiculously depressing, is really interesting. The other module on Aborigines is really boring. It doesn't help that the lecturer is crap at lecturing. He just stands there reading his notes zzzzz.
Other than that it's the usual thing of doing the minimum required and leaving everything to the last minute, but it's not been bad. Ah, the joys of doing an arts degree!
